Christmas Eve

Jon's parents came up to spend Christmas Eve with us and so the kids opened their presents from them while they were with us.  They spoiled the kids and got them some great gifts.

Later that evening after dinner Jon and I always let the kids open their Christmas jammies.
Josh got thermals to keep him warm when he goes camping in the cold with Jon and the donkeys.  Livy got princess Sofia jammies, of course, and Sam got Mickey Mouse his favorite.  Izzy got warm fuzzy jammies and Lexi got her first pair of footy jammies.  The rest of the night was spent watching movies and watching the snow fall outside.

Lexi surprised all the her siblings with a quilt for each one of them that she made all by herself.  The kids loved them.  She had put a lot of thought into each one.  Olivia's had butterflies on it because she loves them.  She had taken Izzy's old baby blanket that was so torn it could no longer be patched and cut it up and used parts of it to sew into Izzy's quilt. Sam's was his favorite color blue.  Lexi knows Josh so well that she didn't make him a quilt but bought him a case of mountain dew instead.  I loved seeing how thoughtful she had been in doing something so sweet for her siblings.
