One night under the sea

Amazing is the only word to describe The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn in St.George.  It was girls weekend at the Kenworthy house and going to see the Little Mermaid was the goal.  The girls and I left Friday morning, drove down and then headed to the play that evening.  My sisters, their girls and my Mom also went.  Lexi and Izzy had never been to Tuacahn and so they were not quite sure what to expect but this play was even more amazing then I was expecting.  Our seats were in the middle section on the sixth row.  We sat there for awhile waiting for the play to start and my girls were talking and playing. Suddenly the water started to bubble on top of the the beautiful red rock behind the stage and rolled down the rocks one at a time and then onto the stage and continued across the stage and dropped off right in front of the audience.  My girls did not move the rest of the night.  They loved all the special water effects and singing.  What a great way to start what was destined to be an eventful and fun weekend.

Upon leaving the play we entered the lobby to see all the characters waiting to sign autographs and take pictures.  My girls excitement went through the roof.  The following pictures are just a few of our favorites. 

Izzy was a little bashful and just wanted to watch instead of being in the pictures.

King Triton was extremely tall and was so cute with the girls.  He showed them how his microphone was hidden in his wig. My niece Paisley was surprised but very happy when he picked her up for the picture.

Ursula's pet eels stole the show.  They were so funny and entertaining.

The next day we took the kids to see the Jacob Hamblin home and Brigham Young's summer home. I was not sure the girls would enjoy seeing these old homes but I was pleasantly surprised.  They really enjoyed learning about how kids their own age lived back then and all the old furniture.  

We then spent the rest of the trip swimming and having fun together.  I loved every minute I spent with Lexi and Izzy for a special girls weekend.
