What a fun fun night with cousins. I checked Sam and Livy out from school an hour early and we headed down to Riverton for the weekend. We left so early so that we could avoid all the traffic and be to my mom's by 5 pm. We ate dinner with my mom and then she got in the car with us and we went to my sister Kim's house in Saratoga Springs. We left from there and went to Thanksgiving point to attend Luminaria. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!! We started at the tent where they had gingerbread houses. It even smelled like gingerbread. The houses were stunning. We then proceeded down the path through different themes. There was candy cane lane (it smelled like peppermint) and the electric forest, just to name a few. Sam got to see Santa's reindeer, Dancer and Cupid. Cupid was pacing back and forth and you could hear this clicking sound. The trainer explained to us that their hooves click like that when they walk. They had a cute little Christmas village where you could buy light up necklaces, s'mores and hot chocolate. They had camp fires going and you could then make your s'mores over the campfire. The very best part was the Light of the World. It starts with these beautiful statues that show the manger scene. Then you enter the garden. It is illuminated with these beautiful glass lanterns hanging on shepherd hooks. It is all dessert plants and walk on a dirt path. There are all these life size bronze statues of Christ and each statue depicts an event in his life. You could feel the Spirit so strong as you walked through. As we were leaving I let Sam use my phone to make his own YouTube videos. His videos are hilarious. After we finished at Luminaria we went to JW's for shakes and fries. It was such a fun night with my mom, my sister and her kids.
