New Year Eve was so fun with Azia and Britty staying with us. My sister had called me yesterday and asked if I could meet her half way. Britty just really wanted to come and spend New Years with us because according to her, staying home was boring. That morning I had asked the kids what treats they wanted for tonight. They wanted small ham and turkey sandwiches, chips, and candy. Azia really wanted cupcakes. I had her go down pick out a cake mix. Together we made cupcakes. She was so proud of herself. Rose and Bill came up in the late morning. Rose gave each of the kids $100 dollars for Christmas. She gave Jon and I a $100 each also. It was very generous of her. The kids spent the day playing dance party upstairs while we visited. We spent the evening playing games. We played Sam's favorite game designed by his favorite YouTuber, Odd Ones Out. Then we moved on to Tenze and Nertz. We rented the new Croods movie for $20 to watch. Covid has made going to the movies a challenge, with the requirements to wear a mask and social distance. As a result movie companies allow you to stream them for $20, which is cheaper for us. We spent the rest of the evening watching movies and running outside to watch all the neighbors fireworks. All the kids lasted until midnight and welcomed in 2021 by banging pots and pans outside and yelling Happy New Year.
