Olivia decided to stretch herself this year and she signed up to play softball. Olivia has never played softball or even t-ball before so learning how to bat, catch and learn the rules have been a challenge for her. Her first game she struck out each time she was at bat. She came home so discouraged but still determined to learn and do her best. Today was her second game. Her first time up to bat she hit the ball and made it all the way to first base. After several other teammates batted she was able to make it all the way around the bases and score a point for her team. Oh the joy on her face as she reached the dugout. I see a fun softball season ahead.
