Haulin Azz

Meet our Haulin Azz donkey team. That is my husband's sense of humor for you. It must be that 14 year old boy in him coming out, because Josh also thinks it is funny. Jon can retire from the military in just 5 short years. In preparation for we have really started to focus on what he wants to be when he grows up. Our dream is to open a lodge and take people backpacking into the Uinta Mountains. We decided to purchase two donkeys and get started on that dream.
We got our first donkey, Maui, about a month ago. She is a beautiful red color and at most times can be really sweet. She loves treats, but carrots are her favorite. She is patient with the kids and does not seem to care if the kids jump on her back for a ride.
Our second donkey has been with us for two weeks. His name is Pancho. Pancho is a beautiful chocolate color with beige around his eyes and nose. He has a lot of spirit and spunk. We adopted Pancho from the Bureau of Land Management, just ten months ago. Pancho was a wild burro roaming in Arizona. He loves to place his head under your arm and nuzzle close. He is very personable and loves to go on walks. Josh is constantly riding him in the pasture. Sam continually climbs the fence and calls Pancho over to pet him. Sam loves to ride Pancho any chance he gets.
I see such great things ahead for our family and these two donkeys are just the beginning.
