At times being a military kid is hard. Your parent is continually missing important events in your life. Today however was a day that made being a military kid fun. Jon had to drive a Humvee in the Hyde Park parade and the kids got to ride with him throwing out candy. Sam even got to try driving for most of the route. My kids smiled, laughed and waved the entire time. I love moments like these.
