If a goat, two kittens, and two donkeys weren't enough, we now own a bunny. Our realtor and friend Charlotte called me and asked if we would like a sweet bunny. She had another client who could not take the bunny to her new home. It was a treasured pet so she really wanted to find it a good home. I agreed to take him.
Today Charlotte brought us the bunny and we got to meet Sylvia his owner. She was the sweetest lady. She was a retired teacher and you could tell that she just loved this sweet bunny, affectionately named Cinnabun. Charlotte's trunk was full of everything Sylvia had brought for Cinnabun. He had this large cage that was set up in my garage. His litter box, yes this rabbit is trained to use a litter box. He has a bed, a special rock to chew on, a set of stairs to hide under, an instruction sheet telling us his eating habits etc, several books about rabbits, treats and gourmet rabbit food. Once Cinnabun was all settled, Sylvia had all my kids sit at the kitchen table and she gave them a class on how to care for our new bunny. I can remember thinking several times, what have gotten myself into? He is a sweet bunny though with a lot of personality. He loves his greens and will stand on his hind legs when he hears you getting him a treat. He has the softest fur and enjoys teasing our kittens. I think he will be a fun addition to our growing farm.
