Happy New Year

Good morning 2022!! Oh what adventures will await us this year. I can't wait to see all the amazing things  these kids will do throughout the new year.

Jon's coworker Aaron invited our family over to watch the Rose Bowl. The University of Utah and Ohio State were playing each other.  Aaron is a big Ohio State fan and of course our family was cheering for the University of Utah. Jon and I took Sam and we went over about an hour before the game started. Sam had a lot of fun playing video games with Aaron's son Jackson. The girls called us just a little bit later and on their way over, Izzy's car began to just shake They had pulled over to the side of the road not wanting to drive the car further and take the chance of ruining the car. Jon went and met the girls. He put them in my van and then he drove Fergie. The day before we had taken her car through the canyon to get the girls and had gotten slushy snow all up under the wheel wells.  The temperature overnight had dropped to -3. That slushy snow froze all under the car and was the causing the shaking. At half time the girls took my car and went ice skating. They were getting really bored watching the game. It was a great game. One team would score and then the other team would score. In the end the U of U ended up losing the game. Jon and I took Izzy's car through the car wash on the way home, in the hopes of getting some of the frozen slush to come off so the car would drive better.

Before we had left for the party Jon had noticed that the faucet of my kitchen sink was leaking again. We just replaced it a month ago but they only make the fittings plastic now. One of the plastic fittings had broke. Jon glued it and it worked for awhile but now it was leaking again. He glued it again before we left and it needed to sit for at least 24 hours. So when we got home from party, with Izzy's help, I took all the dishes into the yellow bathroom to wash them. It was easier to wash them in the bathroom than the mudroom because we could use both sinks. What a good story to start off the new year.
