Life has been so crazy at our house.  With Jon working out of town four days a week, our church callings, my new job and the kids activities we have not spent much time together as a family.  Today we decided to skip church and head up the canyon for dinner and some relaxation.  We found a great place up Logan Canyon were it was nice and peaceful for us and the no one around for the kids or dogs to disturb.  We had tinfoil dinners over the fire and jalapeno poppers.  Sam and Olivia enjoyed every minute of their dirt bath. Josh had brought his bow to get in a last minute hunt and hopefully full fill his deer tag. He was not very far from camp when he came across a buck just standing in the middle of the road a few hundred feet away. He took aim, released and just at that moment his bow broke. His compound bow completely came unstrung. The arrow went shooting off to the side and the deer just stood there and looked at him.  He walked back to where I was cooking our dinner and first words out of his mouth were, I don't have very good luck.  Lexi happened to be close and heard his story.  She then related how she had just been reading in the Book of Mormon about Nephi breaking his bow and being unable to provide food for his family. Lexi has been earnestly praying to know if the Book of Mormon is true or not and the Lord had used just this moment to answer her.  Even though we had skipped church, a loving Heavenly Father was still aware of our needs and found a way to bless us and our daughter.
