Cinco De Mayo at the Kenworthy's is a yearly tradition. Jon and I feel it is very important for our children to understand and love their rich heritage and celebrating Cinco De Mayo is a great way for us to do just that. Each year we invite all of our neighbors and friends over for a big BBQ and traditional pinata. We usually have two or three grills going at a time and lots of yummy food. You can count on Hispanic music playing in the background while the kids play games in the circle and the adults enjoy each others company. This year it started to turn off cold so we moved everything into the garage. Copper Colledge broke the pinata open on his second swing and then mass chaos broke out as all the kids ran for the candy. I would say it was a great success this year and look forward to doing it again next year.
