Trash Car Races is about at redneck as you can get. Even though it was very redneck it was a total blast. Watching the cars race around the track and crash into each other was a great way to spend a Saturday night. Sam, Livy and Izzy would pic the car they wanted to win and cheer that car on throughout the race. Sam really got into it. He would cheer so loud while jumping up and down the entire time. It feels like we have been so stuck this year with Corona, this was a great way to get out and just enjoy what summer should be. No one knelt when the national anthem was played. There were no rioting or fights. People were smiling and laughing with one another. People were cheering and laughing. It was such a release of tension to see the kids laughing and cheering and enjoying the moment. It was a last minute decision to go and I am so glad that we did.
