St. George

Lexi tried out again this year and made it on the clogging competion team which gave our family the oppertunity to take a mini vacation to St. George, Utah to watch her compete and just have some fun.
On the drive down, Sam started to throw a tantrum just because I wouldn't give him my diet Dr. Pepper.
Lexi competed on Friday, so on Saturday we took our family over to an old historic pioneer fort called Pipe Springs.  Pipe Springs is located on the Utah  Arizonia boarder.  It was setteled by a Mormon family who was sent there by the Prophet Brigham Young to ease tensions with the Indians and provide a place for other pioneers to stay as they were sent to settle different areas of the Arizona and Southern Utah.
While at Pipe Springs the girls tried their hand at playing the fiddle.  All the kids completed the requirements to become junior rangers. I was surprised at how much the kids enjoyed the fort and was excited to learn how the pioneers lived and florished at the fort.
Lexi did amazing at her competition. She took 1st and 2nd in her solo's.  Her team took 1st in the group dance.
