Josh turned 12 this year which meant he was old enough to not just tag along with his dad but to shoot an animal himself.. This year they went deer hunting out in Eureka Utah, it was Jon, Josh and Grandpa Bill. After spending the weekend hiking and freezing he came home empty handed but had lots of great memories that he shared with me. He told me about eating at Crazy Nellies Deli where the food and service were horrrible. He told me about Grandpa Bill trying to feed him milk that had gone sour and told him it was just like eating buttermilk. Josh may not have found success in killing a deer but I think he gained memories that he will cherish for the rest of his life.
