What an interesting Halloween we had this year, at the last minute Lexi decided to change her costume from a maid to a witch and Izzy changed from a ghost to a vampire. After dinner, I headed out the door to go trick-or-treating with a mummy(josh), witch(Lexi), vampire(Izzy) and a giraffe(Olivia). My niece Mckenna also came with us dressed as a cute cowgirl. Costumes changes were not the only surprise we got that night, Jon had been in Japan for a week and was not due to get home until Nov 2, however he surprised us by showing up early. The kids and I were so excited he made it home for Halloween. When it was time to go trick or treating, we grabbed our neighbor Angie Tuft and her son Hagen and off we went. A half an hour into our candy gathering down came the rain, but that did not damper the kids spirits in the least. Along with the rain came another little kink in the night. Josh loved his mummy costume and it looked awesome however the more he walked in it the more his wraps came undone. Eventually it was tangled around his legs and he could hardly walk. We had to stop at a neighbors house to borrow a pair of scissors and cut them off. After being completely soaked all the kids finally had a pillow case of candy, so we wrapped up the night and went home. I have to say that the highlight of the night was Jon making it home to spend the holiday with us.``
