I know I wrote earlier about Lexi's surgery at Shriners hospital. In order for her to receive the surgery she was placed in a study to see how that surgery would improve a her gait. Before her surgery we went in and they placed all of these electrodes on her and used special cameras to record her as she walked. We then had to do this again after her surgery and several times over the next few years. Lexi was the 2nd child in the United States to receive this surgery. This surgery has really improved her ability to walk without pain. I hope that through this study more children can benefit from this surgery.
